Description

ABSTRACT Surface ozone (03) in Antarctica is a concern due to its harmful effects on human health and greenhouse gas emissions. Measurements were conducted at Escudero Base and Great Wall Base during winter and summer, revealing higher concentrations at these sites. The study suggests a rise in surface ozone over the Antarctic Peninsula, with unique characteristics at coastal sites like Escudero and Great Wall Base. Further investigation is needed to understand annual variability and the role of photochemistry in ozone production and destruction.
