Project Kalikhasaan

Project Kalikhasaan sees potency in art as response in addressing 'nature-blindness' among urban residents. Kalikhasaan comes from three Filipino concepts central to the project: kalikasan (nature), likha (creation), and hasaan (whetstone). The project aims to develop a non-formal educational tool that encourages users to take notice, understand, and experience their immediate urban environment, to reflect and respond to such personal and/or shared experience through literary and visual arts, and to form communities of action and change for urban sustainability.
