Dr Carmela C Oracion (Ma’am O), has been involved in the work with public schools for close to three decades now. She is the Director of the Ateneo Center for Educational Development (ACED) which seeks to provide systematic, high impact, and visible support for public schools. After several years of training school leaders and teachers, ACED embarked on addressing equally crucial factors that affected public schools. For example, the Blueplate for Better Learning Feeding Program which provided daily meals in schools started in 2010. During the pandemic, support for the beneficiaries (and their families) continued in the form of weekly food packs consisting largely of vegetables.
The Magisterial Lecture series is a collection of selected talks from Ateneo classes, delivered by some of the University’s most respected faculty members. They are produced and shared for the benefit of learners everywhere. Magisterial Lectures will be available on Areté’s YouTube channel for free.
Magisterial Lectures is an Areté Production done in partnership with The Department of Communication, Loyola Schools and the Eugenio Lopez Jr. Center for Multimedia Communication.
