Discussion Points

Because of the hen’s desire to be like the Eagle, she became selfish and betrayed the cock.

  1. Why do you think the Hen so badly wanted to grow wings like the Eagle’s?
  2. What do you think about the punishment that the Eagle gave to the Hen? Was the Eagle being too harsh? Did the Hen deserve her punishment?

Reflection Questions:

Think about a time when you were betrayed by a friend or a classmate. Would you be able to forgive your friend for what he/she did to you? What would you like to tell them now?

Or perhaps you were in a situation where your friend/s felt betrayed because of something you did. How did that situation feel? What would you do to show your friends how sorry you are for what you did?
