Fr. Albert Alejo, SJ also known as Paring Bert is a Filipino Jesuit priest who worked with trade unions and informal labour groups in Manila before earning a doctorate degree in anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
Fr. Albert Alejo, SJ also known as Paring Bert is a Filipino Jesuit priest who worked with trade unions and informal labour groups in Manila before earning a doctorate degree in anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He has taught in Ateneo de Davao, Ateneo de Zamboanga and now at the Ateneo de Manila University. He was also director of various social centers in which he championed the causes of women, indigenous peoples and muslim Filipinos. He is also known for spearheading an anti-corruption campaign called EHEM in the 1990s.
